Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- California Paramedic License or EMT Certification
- Basic Life Support with AED Certification
- Valid California Class C Driver's license
- Ability to walk or stand for extended periods
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, frequently with assistance
- Willingness to work in moderate to high noise levels
- Capacity to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Availability to work at least 5 days per month including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Paramedic currently licensed in the state of California or Emergency Medical Technician currently certified in the state of California
- Minimum of one-year clinical experience as a Paramedic or EMT or experience in a patient care setting with related EMT or Paramedic duties preferred
- Current California Paramedic License or California EMT Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) with AED Certification
- Valid California Class C Driver's license
Job Duties
- Respond to emergency and non-emergent situations in conjunction with internal and external resources at Universal Studios Hollywood
- Assess and treat employees, vendors, and guests in accordance with approved medical standing orders using Standing Medical Protocols based on sound clinical judgment
- Promote and provide extraordinary guest service while answering questions and offering information courteously
- Adhere to California Workers Compensation laws for treatment and documentation of work-related injuries and illnesses
- Strictly follow and promote all Health Services Policies and Procedures during duties
- Accurately complete appropriate documentation for each treatment administered
- Perform monthly regulatory inspections of safety and medical equipment and complete required documentation
- Conduct on-duty inspections including vehicle, equipment, and bag checks
- Participate in drills and training related to USH Disaster Response Plan
- Assist in staff meetings, in-service programs, and development activities
- Use various electronic databases for recordkeeping
- Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for team members and guests
- Identify, de-escalate, and resolve conflicts or disturbances professionally
- Provide a positive and welcoming experience for guests of all ages while maintaining composure during difficult situations
- Maintain a high level of trust, integrity, and safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Understand and demonstrate proper use of safety practices ensuring department and park safety policies are upheld
