Job Requirements

  • Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently with assistance
  • Ability to work in moderate to high noise levels
  • Capable of working in various weather conditions including heat, sun, cold, and inclement weather
  • Flexibility to work at least 4 days per week during peak seasons including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Licensed Paramedic in the state of California or certified Emergency Medical Technician in California
  • Minimum of one year clinical experience as a Paramedic or EMT, or patient care experience with related duties
  • Current California Paramedic License or EMT Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) with AED Certification
  • Valid California Class C Driver's License

Job Duties

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergent situations in conjunction with internal and external resources at Universal Studios Hollywood
  • Assess and treat employees, vendors, and guests in accordance with approved medical standing orders and California EMS protocols
  • Promote and provide extraordinary guest service by responding courteously to questions and offering informative assistance
  • Adhere to California Workers Compensation laws and procedures for treatment and documentation of work-related injuries
  • Strictly follow all Health Services Policies and Procedures while performing duties
  • Accurately complete documentation for each treatment provided to guests and team members
  • Perform monthly regulatory inspections of fire extinguishers, sharps containers, eye wash stations, AEDs, and facilities, completing timely reports
  • Conduct on-duty inspections including vehicle, equipment, and bag checks
  • Participate in disaster response drills and related training sessions
  • Engage in staff meetings, in-service programs, and development activities as required
  • Utilize electronic databases for accurate medical recordkeeping
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and secure environment for all team members and guests
  • Identify, de-escalate, and resolve conflicts professionally to maintain a positive atmosphere
  • Provide a welcoming experience for all guests, maintaining composure under pressure
  • Uphold high levels of trust and integrity to promote safety and security
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Ensure proper use of safety practices and uphold department and park safety standards
