Job Description

Zachry Hospitality is a distinguished hotel management company known for its passionate commitment to hospitality and exceptional customer service. Centered around a family-like culture, Zachry Hospitality ensures that every team member and guest is treated with care and respect, adhering to their guiding principle: doing the right thing simply because it is the right thing to do. The company embraces strong core values such as Every Person Matters, Together We Can Do Great Things, and This Is More Than a Job, shaping how they operate and make decisions. This commitment to excellence and ethical standards creates an inviting and professional atmosphere that sets Zachry Hospitality apart in the competitive hotel industry.

The Front Desk Guest Service Agent role at Zachry Hospitality is integral to the guest experience and overall hotel operation. This position is responsible for welcoming guests, managing their registration process, providing prompt and courteous service throughout their stay, and closing guest accounts efficiently and accurately at the conclusion of their visit. The role demands a high level of professionalism, communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

As a Front Desk Guest Service Agent, you will serve as the face of the hotel, using a polite and clear speaking voice, attentively listening to guest requests, and responding promptly with appropriate actions. Providing accurate information about local attractions, seasonal events, and hotel amenities is a part of the job, ensuring guests feel well-informed and welcomed. You will manage all administrative tasks at the front desk, including completing the registration process by accurately inputting guest information into the system, handling payment methods such as credit cards, cash, vouchers, and traveler’s checks, and balancing the assigned house bank.

This position requires prolonged periods of standing and movement throughout the front office area, demanding a good physical presence and stamina. Handling guest inquiries via telephone efficiently, recording messages, and communicating them promptly to the guests are typical daily activities. Moreover, the agent will resolve complaints, negotiate compromises, including revenue allowances if necessary, ensuring guests leave satisfied. The role also involves transporting guests to and from the airport and within a three-mile radius of the hotel, adding an additional layer of guest service.

Zachry Hospitality places significant importance on teamwork, reliability, and calmness under pressure—especially in emergency or busy situations—to provide seamless service. Candidates should expect to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, and possibly overnight, reflecting the around-the-clock nature of hotel operations. Beyond operational duties, the hotel offers an environment where growth and employee satisfaction are priorities, making this an excellent opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and guest service.
