- Previous management or supervisory experience in high-volume kitchen
- Previous culinary experience or education required
- Maintain a current Food Handlers card
- Interest in becoming a Head Chef
- Flexible schedule required including days, evenings, weekends, special events and holidays

Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen functions
- Oversee all food production and execution across restaurant, pub, catering and events
- Supervise and train kitchen staff
- Enforce portioning guidelines and quality standards
- Interview and hire kitchen staff
- Order food products and supplies
- Manage staff scheduling
- Conduct employee performance evaluations
- Handle general filing and administrative tasks
- Manage food and labor costs
- Ensure timely food expediting
- Attend department and staff meetings
- Conduct monthly inventory
- Develop menus and food specials
- Attend weekly catering contract meetings
- Track contract changes and adjust accordingly
- Communicate with sales and catering departments
- Ensure food quality and presentation at events
- Staff carving stations and assist with menu planning
