The role of Center Bar 2 Bartender is critical in maintaining the high standards of guest service and operational excellence for which the establishment is known. This hourly position, starting at $11.60 per hour plus tips, requires individuals who are flexible in their availability to work various shifts, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. The Center Bar 2 Bartender serves as a key ambassador to guests at one of the busiest and most visible service points in the venue. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for guest service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
In this role, bartenders are responsible not only for preparing and serving drinks accurately according to recipe cards but also for ensuring that the bar area remains clean, well-stocked, and operating safely with all necessary equipment maintained. They use point-of-sale systems to process transactions efficiently and handle cash responsibly, all while maintaining compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations. Bartenders also need to monitor responsible alcohol service to guests, thus ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. This position requires thorough knowledge of beverage selections including wines, liquors, liqueurs, champagnes, and beers, as well as awareness of the overall facility to assist guests with inquiries and directions. The bartender may also be called upon to work at other venues within the property depending on business needs.
Successful candidates will need to obtain and maintain a City of Milwaukee bartender’s license and achieve Responsible Alcohol and ServSafe certifications within 90 days of employment. Physical requirements are involved in this role, including frequent walking, standing, climbing, balancing, and handling objects up to 60 pounds with assistance. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 6 months bartending experience required
- Cash handling experience preferred
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a City of Milwaukee bartender’s license within 90 days
- Ability to successfully achieve Responsible Alcohol and ServSafe certifications within 90 days
- Ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information
- Ability to interact with guests and team members professionally
- Ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to talk, walk, hear, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, sit, and move freely throughout the property for the duration of scheduled shift
- Ability to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to operate a personal computer/point-of-sale (POS) system
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 60 pounds occasionally with assistance
- Requirement to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing job duties
- Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Mix or pour drinks per recipe cards using accurate measures and proper glassware
- Fill orders for servers and serve directly to guests
- Greet guests with a friendly expression of acknowledgment
- Assess, anticipate, and attend to guest needs or concerns in a prompt and courteous manner
- Operate and clean all equipment in bar areas and service stations including beverage dispensing systems, coffee machines, and beer taps
- Use point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately enter orders, dispense correct change, and process credit card and other transactions
- Ensure proper procedures are followed for handling of financial transactions, including balancing bank to sales report
- Monitor responsible alcohol service to guests
- Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and safe working environment
- Maintain complete knowledge of beverage selections to include wine, liqueur, liquor, champagne, and beer
- Maintain thorough knowledge of casino and hotel to answer guest inquiries and provide directions
- Work at other venues as assigned, based on business needs
- Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations
