Recognized for its dedication to meeting rigorous aviation standards such as the FAA, EASA, and CAA requirements, the company provides critical repair, assembly, and testing services for a variety of avionics technology used across the aerospace sector. Southeast Aerospace operates primarily in Melbourne, Florida, and employs a skilled workforce focused on delivering dependable aviation components and assemblies that adhere to strict industry specifications, ensuring precision, safety, and performance.
The role of Electronic Assembler at Southeast Aerospace is a full-time position designed for individuals who are experienced in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting avionics equipment. This position pays between $20.00 and $24.00 per hour and involves hands-on work with electronic components, circuit boards, and wiring harnesses specifically tailored for the aerospace environment. An Electronic Assembler’s duties prominently include interpreting electrical schematics and technical instructions to accurately assemble electronic products that meet industry standards, such as the IPC-A-610 for soldering quality.
This role demands proficiency in surface mount technology (SMT), precision soldering, and function testing using various testing equipment like ohmmeters. Assemblers ensure that all components undergo strict quality control inspections and troubleshooting, maintaining compliance with FAA data and other manufacturing or industry specifications. Working conditions typically consist of a laboratory or avionics shop environment requiring careful handling of small components, use of personal protective equipment, and the ability to manage physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or sitting for extended periods.
Southeast Aerospace values candidates who come with not only technical skills but also a commitment to safety, accuracy, and the continuous improvement of assembly processes. The company supports its workforce by providing a range of benefits including fully paid health and dental insurance premiums for employees, significant health benefits contributions for dependents, 401(k) plan with profit sharing, vacation, sick leave, holiday pay, and additional provisions like portable health savings accounts and clothing allowances.
Qualified and motivated individuals with a passion for avionics and electronic assembly, who meet the stringent FAA and DOT regulations including drug and alcohol testing compliance, may find this role highly rewarding. The company also upholds an inclusive employment policy, welcoming qualified individuals with disabilities and those seeking reasonable accommodations to apply and thrive within its team. This is an excellent opportunity for electronic assemblers aiming to advance their careers within the aerospace industry by joining a stable, reputable organization focused on quality aviation component manufacturing and repair.
