This particular role is based onsite in Melbourne, Florida, and is integral to the production and maintenance teams pivotal to the development of Collins Aerospace's products. The position is primarily on the 2nd shift from 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM operating on a 9/80 schedule, with training on 1st shift required. The job involves hands-on technical work including soldering, hardware installation, and post-coating activities once adequately trained or certified. It requires adherence to stringent quality standards, engineering requirements, and design specifications. Employees in this role contribute actively to meeting customer deadlines by performing tasks in line with productivity expectations and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement through participation in cost reduction initiatives and audits.
This position demands attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, repetitive work environment. Candidates must pass a soldering assessment after completing the provided training course. The role also entails maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of materials, equipment, and work area, ensuring compliance with company-wide policies including Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics and Compliance, and Quality standards. Communication is an important aspect, as there is a need to report progress to leads or supervisors and complete additional tasks within the scope and skill level to support departmental goals and personal development.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent such as GED or vocational/technical education in related discipline
- U.S. Person status including U.S. citizens, permanent residents, refugees or asylees or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations
- Ability to pass soldering assessment after training
- Availability to work 2nd shift with training on 1st shift
- Ability to comply with company policies including safety and quality standards
- Ability to maintain clean and orderly work area
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
- Eligibility for overtime
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Perform specific tasks including but not limited to soldering, hardware installation, post coating once properly trained or certified
- Inspect own work to ensure quality and conformance to workmanship standards, engineering requirements, and design specifications under close supervision
