Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of food handling safety
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance
  • Ability to collaborate with team members
  • Certification in TABC and Food Handler
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience in food, beverage, and/or retail environment
  • Previous coffee house and/or hotel experience preferred
  • Previous cash handling and face-to-face customer service experience required
  • Ability to accurately input information into MICROS system
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm and welcoming demeanor
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers across departments
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up on guest requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be TABC certified
  • Must be Food Handler certified
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during shifts

Job Duties

  • Communicate effectively with guests and associates
  • Listen to, understand, and clarify concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
  • Maintain professionalism in all situations
  • Work well in stressful, high-pressure settings
  • Adhere to uniform and grooming standards
  • Ensure lobby public areas are maintained and cleaned in cooperation with housekeeping
  • Assist with monthly inventory
  • Maintain a clean workspace throughout entire shifts
  • Follow procedure for accepting credit cards and checks
  • Maintain cash bank
  • Verify guest room numbers for room charges
  • Interact with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Adhere to proper food handling procedures
  • Knowledge of equipment use and safety protocols
