The role of Barista at Omni La Mansion del Rio is integral to the hotel's commitment to impeccable guest service. Baristas are responsible for crafting delicious coffee beverages while maintaining the highest standards of service and cleanliness. This position involves interacting with guests and associates in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring quick and efficient service that guarantees guest satisfaction. Baristas also perform essential operational duties such as restocking merchandise, maintaining cleanliness of the coffee bar, handling cash and credit transactions, and working closely with other departments to meet guest needs.

This full-time role requires individuals who thrive in fast-paced and high-pressure environments, demonstrate exceptional communication skills, and possess a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Employees are expected to adhere to strict grooming and uniform standards while complying with food handling and safety protocols. Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year customer service experience
  • previous coffee house or hotel experience preferred
  • cash handling experience required
  • food handler certification required
  • TABC certification required
  • ability to work weekends and holidays
  • ability to lift 50 pounds
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year customer service experience in food, beverage, and/or retail environment
  • previous coffee house and/or hotel experience preferred
  • previous cash handling and face-to-face customer service experience required
  • ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS
  • ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor
  • ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
  • ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up on guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment
  • must be TABC and Food Handler certified
  • must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • ability to frequently bend, reach overhead, twist, stand, or walk for extended durations

Job Duties

  • ensure lobby public areas are maintained and cleaned by coordinating with housekeeping

  • maintain a clean workspace throughout entire shift
  • follow proper procedures for accepting credit cards and checks
  • maintain a cash bank
  • verify guest room numbers for room charges
  • interact with other departments to ensure guest needs are satisfied
  • adhere to proper food handling procedures
  • demonstrate knowledge of equipment use and safety procedures
