Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of experience in an environmental Health and Safety (EHS) related field or a bachelor’s degree in an EHS-relevant background or six months experience in a safety role within Amazon
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience maintaining confidentiality in security or personal workplace matters
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends
- Must obtain adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within three weeks if not currently certified
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher preferably in a safety-related field
- Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, judgment, and customer focus skills
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Ability to analyze accident data, processes, and machinery for safety concerns
- Experience conducting job hazard and job safety analyses
- Experience in emergency response
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience with workers compensation case management
Job Duties
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly safety metrics and reports
- Support management efforts to ensure program compliance and adherence to federal and state laws
- Conduct job hazard analyses and risk assessments for job tasks and new equipment
- Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures including ergonomics
- Conduct safety training sessions and provide coaching on safe work practices
- Collaborate with teams to promote a positive safety culture
- Participate in emergency response activities and workers compensation case management
