Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of experience in an environmental Health and Safety (EHS) related field or a bachelor’s degree in an EHS-relevant background or six months experience in a safety role within Amazon
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality in security or personal workplace matters
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends
  • Must obtain adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within three weeks if not currently certified

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferably in a safety-related field
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, judgment, and customer focus skills
  • Experience leading and managing teams
  • Ability to analyze accident data, processes, and machinery for safety concerns
  • Experience conducting job hazard and job safety analyses
  • Experience in emergency response
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Experience with workers compensation case management

Job Duties

  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly safety metrics and reports
  • Support management efforts to ensure program compliance and adherence to federal and state laws
  • Conduct job hazard analyses and risk assessments for job tasks and new equipment
  • Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures including ergonomics
  • Conduct safety training sessions and provide coaching on safe work practices
  • Collaborate with teams to promote a positive safety culture
  • Participate in emergency response activities and workers compensation case management
