We are currently seeking a dynamic Earned Media & Events Specialist to join our team in the US market. This role is a key driver in amplifying the LEGO brand’s presence by creating impactful earned media coverage and organizing standout product launches and consumer events. The chosen candidate will be responsible for executing public relations strategies that boost excitement, engagement, and top-of-mind awareness among our target audiences. This position offers hybrid working conditions, with an expectation of three days in the office per week, aligning with our flexible workplace model that supports work-life balance. The salary range for the role is competitive, ranging from $120,830 to $181,246, reflecting the responsibilities and market standards.

In this role, the Earned Media & Events Specialist will take charge of strategizing and activating campaigns across the LEGO brand calendar in the US, ensuring that PR plans are innovative yet cost-effective. Responsibilities include developing PR communication plans for consumer events, product launches, and cultural occasions, along with closely managing event planning that ties directly into brand activations to drive consumer sales and PR outcomes. The specialist will also oversee external PR and activation agencies, collaborate with media partners and influencers across various interest areas, and integrate earned media efforts within the broader marketing ecosystem. Budget management and project evaluation are pivotal to ensure successful delivery of initiatives on time and within financial limits. This position is not only operational but also strategic, requiring someone with strong commercial savvy to translate brand efforts into measurable business results and who can present creative concepts effectively to internal stakeholders.

The role calls for a professional with proven experience in PR, events, partnerships, or integrated marketing, preferably with exposure to retail, lifestyle, FMCG, or consumer brands. Candidates should have a deep understanding of omnichannel marketing, agency and partner management, influencer marketing from an earned perspective, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams. Strong presentation and budget management skills are essential to thrive in this position.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in PR, events, or integrated marketing roles
  • Proven experience managing external agencies and media relations
  • Demonstrated success delivering events and activations that drive results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and evaluate campaign performance
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Proficiency with relevant marketing tools and platforms
  • Willingness to work in a hybrid model based in the US
  • No relocation budget available for this role

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability in PR, events, partnerships, or integrated marketing (retail, lifestyle, FMCG, or consumer brands preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the retail environment and omnichannel marketing
  • Proven track record in managing agencies, media, and partners
  • Experience in delivering high-impact events and brand activations
  • Strong commercial savvy with the ability to translate brand initiatives into measurable business outcomes
  • Understanding of influencer marketing from an earned point of view
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to bring to life creative concepts for internal partners
  • Strong collaborator and able to work across various functions and external partners
  • A good understanding of budget management for campaign and agency planning

Job Duties

  • Help drive the strategy and activation of key campaigns across the LEGO brand calendar in the US market
  • Develop strong and effective PR communication plans including innovative ideas at affordable cost for various activations e.g. consumer events, product launches, cultural occasions
  • Lead event planning and creative closely linked to the aligned brand activation calendar to improve consumers sales and PR
  • Help manage external PR/activation agencies, and implement PR plans including press releases, story pitching, media kits in joint collaboration with the agency
  • Build strong relations with mainstream media, influencers (across different passion points) and other key external partners
  • Help integrate earned media plans within an OESP mix, working with other channels and our brand team
  • Manage budgets and run evaluation reviews on each project
