The Prep Cook will start their shift early in the morning, typically from 6 am to 2 pm, contributing to the smooth operation of the kitchen before and throughout the lunch service period. Key responsibilities include washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meats, measuring ingredients, labeling and stocking supplies, and preparing simple dishes such as soups and salads. Additional tasks may involve basic kitchen duties like reducing sauces or parboiling items as needed. Maintaining an organized and clean kitchen environment is also crucial to this role, ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations.
