Job Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Child Development Associate certification
- First Aid and CPR certifications
- two years of related early childhood experience preferably in Early Head Start preschool setting
- prefer bilingual Spanish
- knowledge of early childhood development and regulations
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- ability to plan organize and implement classroom activities
- experience with developmentally appropriate practices and curriculum Frog Street Infants and Toddlers
- familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards and state licensing requirements

Job Duties
- Attend all required training including online sessions workshops and staff meetings
- remain up to date on Head Start Performance Standards Head Start Act DFPS Child Care licensing regulations and other applicable guidelines
- work as a team member with education staff parents and Parent Committee members to implement curriculum meeting individual child and program goals
- maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with FERPA and HIPPA
- collaborate with parents to support children’s growth development and positive attachment
- model appropriate communication guidance techniques and developmentally appropriate practices
- supervise classroom activities and outdoor activities
- plan and implement developmentally and linguistically appropriate curriculum Frog Street Infants and Toddlers
- document and provide Part C Service Coordination for children with special needs
- plan and implement learning experiences that support literacy numeracy and physical competencies
- maintain professionalism and participate in ongoing professional development
- ensure purposeful programs responsive to children’s needs
- observe screen assess and document children’s development health and social-emotional health
- refer families to local service agencies
- document and report suspected child abuse as required by law
- support family involvement and facilitate Parent Committee meetings
- maintain accurate records and submit required reports
- promote Early Head Start in the community
- supervise classroom volunteers and work with community agencies for shared activities recruitment and transition
