Job Description
Whole Foods Market is a renowned leader in the grocery industry, committed to nourishing people and the planet through high-quality, natural, and organic products. Founded with a passion for health and sustainability, Whole Foods Market has grown into a celebrated supermarket chain known for offering fresh and responsibly sourced food items, promoting wellness, and supporting community initiatives. The company’s mission is not only to provide exceptional products but also to create meaningful change in society by funding grants for school gardens, expanding access to healthy food in food deserts, alleviating poverty in developing countries, and upholding sustainable business practices. Whole Foods Market prides itself on being more than just a grocery store; it is a community-focused organization and global change agent dedicated to promoting better eating habits and environmental stewardship.
The role of Team Leader, WFMOA: E-Commerce, is a critical and dynamic position within Whole Foods Market’s fast-growing Whole Foods Market On Amazon (WFMOA) program. This program is designed to offer record-setting grocery delivery services to customers, emphasizing quality products and excellent customer service. The Team Leader is responsible for driving operational excellence by managing and executing key metrics around product quality, labor efficiency, and customer demand. This role demands a versatile leader who can perform an array of micro-functions such as people management, non-inventory management, account management, and problem-solving on the front lines.
A Team Leader in this capacity serves not only as a manager but also as a primary point of contact for both in-store shoppers and cross-departmental partners, fostering strong professional relationships that enhance team performance and customer satisfaction. The leader must navigate a complex and often ambiguous environment, partnering with store leadership to implement best-in-class processes that improve productivity and reduce costs. With a focus on safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity, the Team Leader ensures adherence to compliance standards and operational KPIs while cultivating a positive working environment characterized by teamwork, respect, and high morale.
The hourly wage range for this position is $23.60 to $42.50, commensurate with experience. Whole Foods Market offers its "Whole Benefits" program, which provides a comprehensive package of benefits including a store discount, paid time off, financial wellness programs, health and wellness support, and access to other team member perks. This role is suitable for individuals who are passionate about organic and natural products, ready to lead a high-volume team, and eager to contribute to an innovative company that values sustainability and community impact.
