Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged
  • 4 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related area
  • or 2-year degree from accredited university in business administration, marketing, hotel and restaurant management, or related major
  • 2 years experience in sales and marketing or related area
  • preferred 4-year college degree
  • previous experience in proactive lead generation in hospitality and sales discipline
  • experience selling leisure, transient or special corporate business
  • strong negotiating and communication skills
  • ability to work collaboratively in diverse team environment

Job Duties

  • acts as on-property sales liaison to drive transient business revenue within specific segments
  • uncovers opportunities and develops strong business transient relationships
  • achieves transient revenue goals through active solicitation
  • develops and executes transient sales initiatives
  • partners with area sales and global sales teams to identify and pull through business
  • orchestrates sales transactions coordinating with revenue and operations teams
  • conducts property walkthroughs and site inspections with clients
  • upsells business opportunities to maximize revenue
  • implements brand service strategies during sales process
  • uses sales tools and systems for forecasting and market analysis
  • negotiates contracts and closes sales
  • develops transient sales budgets and forecasting reports
  • creates and implements transient sales marketing plans
  • assists with sales promotions
  • attends post stay feedback sessions
  • ensures seamless sales-to-operations turnover
  • monitors same day selling procedures
  • participates in customer service practices
  • monitors guest issue resolution
  • provides strategic segment insight to sales executives
  • builds and strengthens customer relationships
  • develops community relationships to expand sales opportunities
  • collaborates with off-property sales channels
  • maintains timely communication with account customers
  • executes exemplary customer service
  • serves customers by understanding needs and recommending features
