Job Description

Marriott International stands as a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences and innovative service across its extensive portfolio of hotels and resorts. Among its esteemed brands is Westin Hotels & Resorts, renowned for pioneering wellness-focused hospitality that empowers guests to enhance their well-being while traveling. The Westin brand emphasizes rejuvenation, vitality, and comfort, striving to create environments where guests feel invigorated and inspired to perform at their best. Operating from its prime location in The Westin Copley Place Boston, situated at 10 Huntington Ave, Boston, Massachusetts, this property serves as a prominent destination for both business and leisure travelers with its blend of sophisticated amenities and strategic city access.

The role offered is for a Dual Senior Sales Executive position at The Westin Boston and W Boston, focusing on driving transient business revenue through proactive sales efforts across multiple transient market segments. This full-time management role commands a competitive pay range of $51.92 to $70.19 per hour and includes the benefit of being bonus eligible. Managers are also provided with complimentary parking, highlighting the organization's commitment to supporting its leadership team.

As a Dual Senior Sales Executive, you will serve as the critical on-property sales liaison tasked with identifying, developing, and nurturing business transient relationships. Your responsibilities include driving revenue within transient market segments such as consortia, wholesale accounts, special corporate clients, travel agencies, and leisure groups like AAA, entertainment, diplomatic, and social leisure sectors. The essence of the role revolves around uncovering lucrative sales opportunities to maximize transient production by leveraging strong client relationships and executing targeted sales initiatives.

You will engage in active solicitation within these transient segments, working collaboratively with above-property sales leadership including area sales teams, global sales organizations, and account sales professionals. This partnership aims to extend business reach and optimize revenue generation derived from deployed customer accounts. Your role will also encompass orchestrating the transactional elements of these sales efforts, coordinating closely with the revenue, front office, and concierge teams to ensure seamless service delivery and superior guest satisfaction.

Conducting regular property walkthroughs with clients to detail requirements and expectations, as well as overseeing site inspections with agents and travel advisors, are key aspects of your duties to maintain high service standards. Additionally, you are expected to upsell every business opportunity, thereby contributing to increased revenue streams. Your role directly influences customer loyalty and service excellence by implementing the brand’s service strategies and initiatives throughout the sales process.

The position demands a strategic approach to managing sales activities, including understanding competitive market dynamics, leveraging sophisticated sales tools and systems such as Hoteligence, EMPOWER, GXP, and property management systems to funnel the best transient business to the property. You'll utilize negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close deals and maintain an impressive transient revenue mix.

You will also play a significant role in developing transient sales revenue and operational budgets, providing forecasting reports, and collaborating with management to devise and execute comprehensive transient sales and marketing plans. Participation in post stay feedback sessions and ensuring smooth sales-to-operations turnover are part of your commitment to delivering exceptional customer service standards aligned with Marriott's brand values.

On the relationship-building front, your duties extend to establishing and strengthening connections within the community, engaging in sales calls, entertainment, familiarization trips, and trade shows to broaden the transient customer base. By leveraging interpersonal and communication skills, you will influence, lead, and advocate sound business decisions while working inclusively with peers, managers, and customers in a diverse and global hospitality environment.

The Westin Boston and W Boston provide a collaborative, inclusive setting where dedicated professionals can thrive. Marriott International emphasizes diversity and equal opportunity, ensuring an environment where associates from varied backgrounds are valued and empowered. As part of the Westin team, you will have the opportunity to embody the brand’s wellness mission, maintaining your well-being alongside delivering top-tier sales performance. Join us where you can do your best work, ignite your purpose, belong to an amazing global team, and become the best version of yourself.
