The Courtyard and TownePlace Suites by Marriott at LAX Hawthorne is currently seeking a Room Attendant to join its dynamic team. As a Room Attendant, the primary role involves cleaning and servicing assigned guest rooms and bathrooms efficiently and according to established procedures and high standards. This includes making beds, changing sheets, vacuuming both stay-over and check-out rooms, and carefully dusting all surfaces such as tables, nightstands, dressers, light fixtures, televisions, air conditioning units, and window ledges. The Room Attendant also has a critical role in communicating with guest services (front desk) to confirm room readiness for new guests, reporting any rooms that cannot be properly serviced within a reasonable timeframe, and notifying supervisors about any unsafe conditions or necessary repairs.

Another important aspect of the job includes replenishing supplies like drinking glasses, writing materials, bathroom essentials, and linens to ensure guests’ comfort and satisfaction. The role requires adherence to a team cleaning approach and participation in self-inspection programs that maintain the quality and cleanliness standards specified by the hotel. Job Duties

  • Clean and service assigned guest rooms and bathrooms in a timely and organized manner according to procedures and standards
  • Change sheets, make beds, and vacuum in both stay over and check out guest rooms
  • Dust entire guest room including tables, night stands, dressers, light fixtures, televisions, air conditioning units, and window ledges
  • Notify guest services when service is complete so rooms may be sold
  • Report any room unable to be serviced within appropriate time standards to supervisor and needed repairs of unsafe conditions to the supervisor
  • Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing, bathroom supplies, and linen
  • Follow procedures for team cleaning and self-inspecting program
