The Group Sales Manager position available at SREE Hotels focuses on the Courtyard & Residence Inn by Marriott properties located in the Brier Creek/RDU area of Raleigh, NC. This role is essential for driving revenue growth by developing new accounts and expanding relationships with existing hotel clients. The Group Sales Manager will receive professional training, responsive corporate support, and a competitive salary along with a generous benefits package. In this role, the Group Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales goals by targeting appointments with strategic accounts aligned with the hotel's marketing plan and budget. They will assess client needs proactively and ensure prompt follow-up on all customer requests while negotiating guest room rates and services within established guidelines. A vital part of this role is maintaining organized and accurate client information to deliver superior service and effectively manage leads from various sources such as tele-prospecting and in-house guests. The Group Sales Manager will also collaborate with General Managers, Marketing Managers, and Corporate Sales Directors to develop and maintain robust business plans, participate in marketing, revenue management, and sales meetings, and assist with rate and service decisions. This position requires a professional demeanor, a positive team attitude, and excellent communication skills to foster relationships with clients, colleagues, competitors, and the local community.

Job Requirements
- College degree or equivalent sales experience
- 2 to 3 years of direct hotel sales experience
- Knowledge of sales techniques, revenue management, and customer service
- Proficiency in Word and Excel

- Direct hotel sales experience of 2 to 3 years minimum

Job Duties
- Achieve productivity goal and activity goal by targeting accounts with appointment-oriented sales calls aligned with marketing plan and budget
- Maximize current hotel key accounts by maintaining close contact through phone, appointments, client functions, tours, and correspondence
- Capture new business through research, networking, telemarketing, soliciting new accounts and outside sales calls
- Maintain accurate, organized, and current file management system to service clients efficiently
- Participate in associate, client, guest, and community events
- Assist in developing and maintaining the business plan with General Manager, Marketing Manager and Corporate Director of Sales
- Qualify all leads and prospects gained from tele-prospecting, cold calls, sales blitzes and other lead sources
- Participate in joint sales calls with Corporate Director of Sales and General Manager
- Actively participate in Revenue Management and Marketing calls
- Assist with rate and services decisions
- Assist with servicing events
- Attend weekly sales meetings
- Complete weekly and monthly sales call reports and submit to General Manager and Corporate Operation and Sales Team
- Exhibit positive and involved team attitude and maintain open communication with hotel staff
- Build and maintain rapport with competitor hotels, lead sources, clients and local community
- Display a neat, clean, and business-like appearance at all times and represent SREE Hotels with integrity and professionalism
