The Dual General Manager position at the AC Hotel by Marriott and Element by Westin represents a high-profile leadership opportunity within Azul Hospitality Group’s expanding portfolio. Located in the vibrant Phoenix-Scottsdale CityNorth area, this new dual-brand property is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2026. Featuring 240 guestrooms distributed between the two brands, the property combines the sophisticated style of AC Hotel with the sustainable design ethos of Element. Guests will enjoy premium amenities, including the AC Kitchen and Patio and indoor/outdoor AC Lounge for social and business gatherings, alongside the Element Rise breakfast program designed to cater to health-conscious travelers. The property also boasts more than 6,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, positioning it as a preferred destination for business and leisure travel in one of the top hospitality markets in the United States.

The Dual General Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of this prestigious dual-brand complex. This executive role demands a hospitality leader with an entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record of driving team development, maintaining brand standards, and achieving robust financial outcomes. The ideal candidate will seamlessly integrate the operational and cultural aspects of both the AC Hotel and Element brands, ensuring exceptional guest experiences across all service areas. Key responsibilities extend from leading all pre-opening activities including staffing, training, and operational setup, to ongoing management and performance optimization. This role requires the development and mentorship of a high-performing leadership team, as well as the cultivation of strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and tourism partners.

Effective management of the rooms, food and beverage, and engineering departments is critical to maximizing profitability while upholding quality and guest satisfaction. The Dual General Manager will also oversee revenue management through proactive market analysis and targeted marketing strategies, with a focus on maximizing RevPAR and EBITDA. Coupled with a commitment to the company’s values of integrity, collaboration, and guest-centric service, the manager will foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the property.

Candidates for this role should bring a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a hotel General Manager or similar leadership capacity within the lifestyle hospitality segment. Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality operations, staff recruitment, development, and performance management is essential. Additionally, the ability to navigate complex budgeting, legal compliance requirements, and robust human resources functions will support the property’s sustained success. A bachelor’s degree in hotel, restaurant, or business administration—or equivalent education and experience—is required, alongside strong communication, organizational, and technological skills.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hotel restaurant or business administration or equivalent education experience required
  • Minimum of six years hotel management experience required including two years in a similar capacity
  • Ability to provide and maintain a valid drivers license as the position may require the operation of motorized and electric vehicles
  • Must be able to travel on occasion as needed
  • Must be able to speak read write and understand the primary language used in the workplace
  • Must possess intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS MS Office PMS PBX Key system and POS
  • Must have excellent leadership capability customer relations skills and strong organizational communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of federal state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity civil rights occupational safety and health wage and hour issues and labor relations
  • Must maintain a neat clean well-groomed appearance per company standards
  • Regular attendance is essential and adherence to company rules and regulations is mandatory
