Job Requirements

Must have availability to meet the needs of the business
Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing or walking

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
No previous retail experience required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in use of technology such as registers, calculators, and mobile devices
Customer service oriented with a friendly and professional attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet time-bound expectations
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Willingness to learn and adapt to change
Demonstrates teamwork and inclusivity

Job Duties

Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach and match their needs with an elevated level of service
Share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members
Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through in-store sales or digital orders
Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment including clearing trash, restocking shoes, cleaning public areas, and organizing the stockroom
Receive inbound freight, prepare merchandise, complete markdowns, and maintain clearance standards
Complete all functions of the fulfillment process including locating items, inspecting products, packaging, and label placement
Use company tools such as iPhone and register to search product availability and assist customers
Complete customer transactions accurately and responsibly while following DSW policies
Partner with Customer Experience Leader to resolve escalated customer service issues
Follow all asset protection policies and procedures
Actively participate in team meetings and ongoing training
Be open to coaching and feedback
Demonstrate teamwork and support inclusivity
