Job Requirements

Must have the availability to meet the needs of the business
Professional, friendly, and customer service focused
Ability to move with tempo to meet time bound expectations
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in use of technology to successfully engage in customer interactions (register, register keyboard, iPhone, calculator)
Must have the ability to spend up to 100 percent of working time standing or walking around the store
Lifting, including the ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis
Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl on a frequent basis

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Customer service orientation
Ability to work as part of a team
Basic proficiency with technology such as register, iPhone, and calculator
Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
Positive attitude and enthusiasm

Job Duties

Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at
Share the benefits of the DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) Loyalty program and enroll new members
Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through either in-store sales or digital orders
Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment including clearing trash, returning shoes to location, cleaning breakroom and restrooms, vacuuming, cleaning mirrors and walkways
Receive inbound freight, prepare and place merchandise on sales floor, complete markdowns, maintain clearance standards, and organize stockroom
Complete fulfillment process including locating items, inspecting product condition, packaging and label placement for pickup or delivery
Use company tools such as iPhone and register to search product availability and order for customers
Complete customer transactions accurately, follow policies and procedures, count money and provide correct change
Partner with Customer Experience Leader when service issues escalate
Follow all asset protection policies and procedures
Participate in daily team meetings and ongoing training
Be open to coaching and feedback
Demonstrate teamwork and support inclusivity
