- Availability to meet the needs of the business

- ability to move quickly to meet time-bound expectations
- good verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency in using technology such as registers, iPhones, and calculators
- ability to spend up to 100 percent of working time standing or walking
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- capability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently
- no prior retail experience required

Job Duties
- Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach
- read customer cues and match their needs with an elevated level of service
- share the benefits of the DSW Loyalty program and enroll new members
- answer questions regarding products and complete customer transactions
- maintain a neat, clean, and safe store environment
- receive inbound freight and merchandise per DSW standards
- complete markdowns and organize the stockroom
- fulfill orders including locating items and preparing them for pick up or delivery
- operate technology tools such as register, iPhone, and calculator to support transactions
- follow DSW policies and procedures during customer transactions
- partner with the Customer Experience Leader for escalated service issues
- participate actively in team meetings and ongoing training
- demonstrate teamwork and support inclusivity
