Job Requirements

Must have the availability to meet the needs of the business
Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing or walking around the store
Ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on a frequent basis
No previous retail experience required

Job Duties

Greet every customer with a helpful and friendly approach, read customer cues, match their needs with an elevated level of service, and meet the customer where they are at
Share the benefits of the DSW loyalty program and enroll new members
Answer questions regarding product and complete customer transactions through either in-store sales or digital orders
Maintain a neat, clean, and safe environment for internal and external customers by clearing trash, returning shoes to their location, cleaning breakrooms and restrooms, vacuuming, and other housekeeping duties
Receive inbound freight, prepare and place merchandise on the sales floor per DSW standards, complete markdowns, maintain clearance standards, and organize and maintain the stockroom
Complete all functions of the fulfillment process including locating items, inspecting product condition, packaging, and label placement ensuring readiness for pick up or delivery
Complete customer transactions accurately, follow DSW policies and procedures, handle money precisely, and partner with the Customer Experience Leader when service issues escalate
