Job Requirements

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
  • minimum 2 years of experience operating drones via remote control
  • proven experience leading small teams
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or walk for 8 to 10 hours, and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
  • valid driver’s license and ability to meet driver eligibility criteria
  • willingness to travel up to 75 percent of the year

Job Qualifications

  • valid driver’s license
  • willingness to travel up to 75 percent of the year
  • preferred work experience in RC, FPV, or manned aviation

Job Duties

  • Operate drones in accordance with FAA Part 107 regulations
  • assist in development and testing of safety-related technologies
  • conduct mission planning and ensure operational readiness
  • perform light maintenance and troubleshooting of drone systems
  • support logistics planning and cross-functional team training
  • drive to offsite work locations with provided vehicle
  • work in varying weather conditions within safety thresholds
  • follow variable shifts and schedules including weekends and approved overtime
  • manage preflight paperwork and conduct airworthiness checks
  • ensure safe drone operation and mission execution
  • plan missions using tools such as LAANC, NOTAM, and METAR
  • interpret weather patterns, airspace maps, and FAA applications
  • operate confidently in low-visibility and night conditions
  • operate payload systems via work-provided laptop
  • monitor drone behavior and environmental conditions during flight
  • cross-check equipment and procedures for safety compliance
  • document post-flight activities and observations
  • assist in weather assessments and night operation safety protocols
