The Cypress of Charlotte is a premier Life Plan Community located in the vibrant SouthPark area of Charlotte, North Carolina. The Driver/Valet position is a full-time role requiring dedication and flexibility. The schedule includes 40 hours per week with variable hours, some overtime, and weekend availability. Typical hours from Monday to Friday are from noon until 8:30 p.m., with additional shifts on the third Monday of each month and select Saturdays. This position offers hourly pay ranging between $18.00 and $21.32, dependent on experience. In this role, the Driver/Valet will be responsible for safely transporting residents to various scheduled activities such as grocery shopping, monthly outings, and extended trips, ensuring that resident comfort and safety are prioritized at all times. Additionally, this role includes providing valet services during clubhouse events, greeting members and guests upon arrival, and assisting with mobility devices like walkers and wheelchairs when needed. Responsibilities also include performing vehicle parking duties and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicles used for transportation. This role requires a strong sense of customer service, patience, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six to twelve months experience as a bus or van driver
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver license
- Must maintain a clean driving record
- Must have a Commercial Driver's License with P endorsement
- Ability to count and perform simple logic exercises
- Proven team working skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of six to twelve months experience as a bus or van driver required
- Must be at least 18 years or older with a valid driver license and maintain a clean driving record
- Must have CDL with P endorsement
- Ability to count and perform simple logic exercises to properly park and retrieve vehicles
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Pleasant, tactful, courteous, and cooperative with members and other employees
- Ability to communicate respectfully and empathetically demonstrating exemplary customer service
- Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English
Job Duties
- Pickup and deliver residents safely to all scheduled activities where transportation is needed
- Make miscellaneous trips for the office to the bank, printer, post office, etc. as needed
- Open doors and greet members and guests when vehicles arrive for valet
- Assist members and guests with walkers, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices and help when a need is perceived
- Perform vehicle parking duties at the clubhouse for members and guests
- Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles, inside and out
