The Route Driver/Courier Floater role based in Austin, Texas, is an essential position within SPS Global’s client operations team. This on-site role demands a dependable and service-oriented professional responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of mail and parcels across campus locations. The position requires strict adherence to chain-of-custody standards and commitment to operational excellence. Beyond courier responsibilities, the Route Driver/Courier Floater offers versatile support to both front- and back-office functions to ensure seamless service delivery. This position reports to Client Services Supervisors or Managers and requires the candidate to operate company vehicles safely, follow prescribed routes, and maintain detailed delivery logs. The role demands excellent customer service skills, the ability to multitask, and strong organizational capabilities. Candidates will also be expected to cross-train in office services to provide backup coverage, assisting with shipping, receiving, and training of backup personnel when necessary. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
current state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record
ability to safely operate a company motor vehicle
strong organizational and time management skills
excellent verbal and written communication skills
ability to multitask and work independently
basic computer proficiency and ability to learn required systems
professional appearance and adherence to company policies

Job Qualifications

2+ years of related work experience preferred
working knowledge of MFD equipment preferred
experience with shipping and receiving procedures preferred
familiarity with validating packing slips and handling materials accurately preferred

Job Duties

Travel a predefined courier route via company vehicle to deliver mail and parcels
perform scheduled pick-ups and deliveries by accurately following maps and written instructions
maintain detailed logs and time stamps for all items received and delivered
support chain-of-custody requirements in accordance with operating procedures
respond to client requests accurately and ensure timely order fulfillment
complete all required paperwork in a timely, accurate, and legible manner
operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with state and company standards
follow company protocol in the event of an accident and/or injury
maintain vehicle condition through routine servicing including oil changes, tire rotation, fluid checks, refueling
ensure vehicle cleanliness and readiness for daily operation
deliver 5-star customer service in all forms of communication
follow Operational Service Excellence performance standards
build professional relationships with customers and internal teams
maintain professionalism and composure when handling sensitive inquiries
determine when additional support is required for complex requests
proactively seek additional work during downtime
provide front- or back-office coverage as needed
assist with shipping and receiving procedures
validate packing slips for accuracy of incoming and outgoing materials
train backup personnel and provide guidance on policies and procedures
