Job Requirements
- Must have a valid class B driver’s license and current medical certificate
- Tanker endorsement required
- Must have reliable transportation
- At least six months of driving experience with ready-mix or similar vehicles
- No reckless driving offenses or DUIs on record
- Driver record must not have more than 1.5 active points in last 36 months
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions and complete tasks on schedule
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work under supervision with instructions and feedback
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders
Job Qualifications
- Valid class B driver’s license with tanker endorsement
- Minimum six months of driving experience in ready-mix or similar heavy truck operations
- Clear driving record without reckless driving offenses or DUIs
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Effective verbal communication skills with customers and team members
- Knowledge of concrete products and truck operations
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete tasks on schedule
- Ability to work independently and accept supervision with coaching or feedback
Job Duties
- Operate and drive a ready-mix truck safely and efficiently adhering to DOT and company rules and regulations
- Perform proper pre-trip and post-trip inspections in a timely manner
- Visually inspect the consistency of concrete in the mixer and deliver loads at correct slump
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine maintenance
- Complete and maintain DOT Daily Logbook when required
- Communicate job hazards to supervisors, safety department, and fellow drivers
- Maintain positive attitude and professionalism when interacting with coworkers and customers
- Work up to 16 hours with maximum driving time of 11 hours according to Hours-of-Service Regulations
- Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times
