The role of Ready-Mix Driver at Cemex is a vital position within the company's operations. Ready-Mix Drivers are responsible for the safe and timely delivery of concrete to commercial and residential job sites, which involves operating a concrete mixer truck under various conditions. This includes navigating uneven terrain, managing heavy equipment such as extension chutes weighing between thirty to fifty pounds, and adapting discharge techniques to suit different site requirements. Job Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B)
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Acceptable CSA and MVR record
  • No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Ability to handle physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to wear protective equipment and follow safety protocols
  • Ability to work in outdoor industrial settings with varying conditions
  • Proficient in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Acceptable CSA and MVR record with no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols for construction and transportation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors
  • Knowledge of traffic routes
  • Basic truck maintenance skills desirable
