This vacancy is for the position of Ready-Mix Driver, a vital role within Cemex's operations. The Ready-Mix Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of concrete loads using a concrete mixer truck to both commercial and residential construction sites. This position demands strict adherence to safety and regulatory compliance, as well as skillful navigation of various terrains and site conditions. One of the core responsibilities involves managing the attachment and handling of extension chutes weighing between thirty to fifty pounds to ensure precise concrete placement. The role also requires the driver to maintain the vehicle's mechanical condition and cleanliness, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. Furthermore, the Ready-Mix Driver acts as a brand ambassador by providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. Coordination with dispatch and other team members is essential for optimizing operations and ensuring seamless delivery schedules. Candidates for this role should possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B) and meet the strict safety and driving record criteria set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Job Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B)
  • High School diploma preferred
  • Driver must qualify as not prohibited in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
  • Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Acceptable CSA and MVR record with no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to the construction and transportation industry
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions and guidance
  • Knowledge of traffic routes and basic maintenance skills for truck upkeep desirable
