Job Description

North Coast Electric is a reputable company operating within the electrical products and services sector. Serving contractors across a wide geographic footprint that includes Oregon, Montana, Alaska, and Washington, it forms a vital link in bringing electrical power to various types of buildings, including offices, homes, and industrial facilities. As a proud member of the Sonepar group—the world’s number one electrical distributor with more than 45,000 associates worldwide—North Coast offers a dynamic environment that values diversity and inclusive perspectives. The company prides itself on a supportive culture, outstanding benefits, and meaningful opportunities for career advancement, all while contributing to a sustainable future through dependable electrical supply and service solutions.

The Delivery Driver position at North Coast Electric is pivotal in ensuring efficient supply chain operations that keep projects and businesses powered. Scheduled primarily from 4:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday, this full-time role demands a high standard of safety, reliability, and customer service. Successful incumbents will be responsible for transporting electrical products safely to customer job sites, industrial locations, and other company facilities. The role requires daily preparation and inspection of the delivery vehicle to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational readiness, highlighting the company’s emphasis on diligence and professionalism.

Beyond delivery duties, the driver will engage in general warehousing tasks utilizing radio frequency (RF) technology, ensuring the shipment is accurately prepared and loaded. The thoroughness involved in positioning and securing loads emphasizes safety and efficiency, accommodating the limits set by vehicle weight regulations. Workers in this role must demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail, consistently maintaining a professional demeanor in appearance, communication, and conduct when interacting with customers and colleagues alike.

Physical demands for this role include the ability to lift items weighing up to 70 pounds, operating powered industrial equipment like forklifts, and navigating the various environments associated with warehouse and delivery settings. The role typically adheres to a 40-hour work week, but flexibility is sometimes required to meet business needs, including evening or weekend shifts. Reliable attendance and punctuality are critical to the position, supporting the seamless operation of North Coast Electric's delivery and service commitments.

This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, value customer satisfaction, and aspire to grow their careers within a thriving company backed by a global leader in the electrical supply industry. North Coast Electric champions a culture where diverse perspectives are not just welcomed but integral to the company’s success, making it a rewarding place to work for driven and conscientious professionals. The combination of comprehensive support, career development, steady scheduling, and a clear impact on the community creates a compelling opportunity for the right candidate.
