This particular role is for a Lead Driver within the MedTrans fleet. The Lead Driver is entrusted with operating a straight truck on local delivery routes, transporting vital medical supplies that can impact patient care and outcomes. Beyond just transport duties, the Lead Driver plays a central role in fostering positive and professional relationships with customers by ensuring that deliveries are timely, accurate, and come with a high standard of safety. This role carries the additional responsibility of supporting and motivating local transportation teams, serving as a bridge between drivers and management, and communicating crucial information effectively. The Lead Driver is also accountable for the safe loading and unloading of products, maintaining safety protocols including vehicle inspections and compliance with Federal and State regulations, recording travel and cargo logs accurately, and managing any changes to delivery routes or schedules in coordination with dispatchers.

MedTrans highly values candidates with at least two years of tractor trailer driving experience who hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and maintain a clean driving record free of serious violations. Although the role primarily requires a Class A CDL, the operation may involve Class B vehicles, highlighting the versatility demanded.
