Serving approximately 16 million customer transactions a week, Lowe's operates over 1,700 home improvement stores and employs roughly 300,000 associates nationwide. Headquartered in Mooresville, North Carolina, the company is committed to supporting the communities it serves by focusing on creating safe and affordable housing, enhancing community spaces, developing the next generation of skilled trade experts, and providing disaster relief efforts. With fiscal year 2024 sales surpassing $83 billion, Lowe's continues to hold a strong position in the home improvement retail sector, driven by its customer-centric approach and dedication to quality service.

The role of Driver I at Lowe's is an integral part of ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of merchandise from local warehouses to customers within specified delivery routes. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about providing excellent customer service combined with strong operational skills. The role emphasizes maintaining the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of delivery vehicles, including the inspection of vehicles and equipment like lift gates. Drivers are expected to uphold all safety standards and adhere to regulatory guidelines, including DOT and CDL requirements when applicable.

The position also requires excellent communication skills to escalate customer complaints and coordinate with the sales team and other departments to guarantee coordinated and efficient service delivery. As an individual contributor, the Driver I benefits from opportunities for voluntary and scheduled overtime with additional pay, reflecting a flexible work schedule that accommodates varying delivery demands. This role offers a dynamic work environment suited for those who are physically fit, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in fast-paced settings. Candidates should have experience with box truck driving with vehicles weighing between 14,500 and 26,000 pounds and display the ability to operate power equipment safely. Valid driver’s licenses and medical certifications are mandatory, highlighting the company’s strong commitment to safety and compliance in all operational aspects.

Lowe's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures a workplace free from discrimination, embracing differences related to race, color, gender, age, disability, and other protected classes, which fosters a supportive and balanced working environment. The company offers competitive pay that varies based on factors such as the role, location, education, and experience and provides a comprehensive suite of benefits for eligible employees.
