The role available is designed to assist drivers in delivering customer orders efficiently and accurately. This position involves helping load and off-load products, including handling various building materials like drywall, windows, and doors. The employee may also be tasked with driving a pilot vehicle for oversize loads to ensure the safety and compliance of these shipments without requiring a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) license.

Key responsibilities include assisting in the secure loading of products using both motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment, delivering customer orders in company vans or pickup trucks under 10,000 GVW, and obtaining signed proof of delivery. Safety is paramount in this role, with duties involving vehicle inspection, adherence to safety procedures, and proactive participation in safety meetings. The position requires the individual to plan and pace their workload to meet specific productivity targets while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Candidates for this position must hold a valid driver’s license and have at least one year of experience performing similar tasks or equivalent training or education. The role demands physical stamina, as it involves regularly lifting heavy items—up to 100 pounds frequently and sometimes up to 200 pounds with assistance. The work environment includes exposure to all weather conditions and moderate noise levels typically associated with delivery operations.
