Job Description

UZURV is a community-focused transportation service platform dedicated to connecting drivers with passengers who need reliable and supportive rides. Unlike typical rideshare companies that serve the general public, UZURV specializes in providing rides to older adults and individuals living with disabilities, ensuring safe, respectful, and high-quality transportation. The company values compassion, reliability, and community support, fostering an environment where drivers are more than just service providers – they become an essential part of their community's mobility and independence.

Founded with the mission to enhance mobility for vulnerable populations, UZURV emphasizes the importance of trusted and respectful interactions between drivers and passengers. As part of its commitment, UZURV offers flexible driving opportunities that accommodate various lifestyles, including part-time, contract, seasonal, temporary, or supplemental income work. This makes it an ideal platform for those looking to earn good extra income while making a meaningful difference in their community.

Driving with UZURV offers unparalleled flexibility and earning potential. Drivers use their own 4-door personal vehicles that meet specific vehicle requirements – no rental or commercial vehicles, a model year of 10 or newer, and no trucks are allowed. These requirements ensure that passengers receive comfortable and safe rides. With no previous rideshare or gig work experience necessary, UZURV welcomes drivers from various backgrounds, including healthcare workers, veterans, teachers, EMTs, musicians, security officers, and restaurant workers. This diversity of drivers demonstrates that anyone with a desire to help others can join the platform.

The role of a UZURV driver goes beyond simple transportation; it is about providing independence and dignity to those who require specialized care and attention. Drivers earn between $26.00 and $33.00 per hour spent driving, depending on the location and demand, with compensation based on trip fares instead of hourly wages. This pay range is competitive and reflects the specialized service that drivers provide. Drivers are empowered to set their schedules, deciding when and how much they drive, whether during weekdays or weekends, enabling a work-life balance tailored to individual needs.

Drivers benefit from an easy start-up process with no mandatory experience, flexible scheduling, the ability to preview fares before accepting trips, and continuous support from the UZURV team available at all times during every trip. These features make driving on UZURV an accessible and appealing gig, combining the benefits of independent contracting with a strong support network. The company also recognizes and values previous experience in on-demand work with platforms like Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, GrubHub, and others but does not require it.

The part-time and contract nature of the job makes it perfect for people seeking temporary or seasonal work, extra income, or entry-level roles within the gig economy. The role enhances community well-being by assisting older adults and people with disabilities, offering companionship and assistance beyond the drive. Working with UZURV is a chance to earn good money, participate in a supportive community, and positively impact the lives of others one ride at a time.
