Job Description

Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD) is a well-established last-mile distribution company founded in 2006 and operating as a subsidiary of Golden State Foods (GSF). Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD specializes in providing customized distribution solutions to select foodservice industry customers across the United States. With a remarkable operational reach, QCD manages over 37,000 deliveries weekly from 25 strategically located distribution centers nationwide. Their extensive fleet collectively drives more than 40 million miles annually, ensuring that their client restaurants receive their food products reliably and efficiently. Beyond their distribution expertise, QCD also supports charitable endeavors through the GSF Foundation, contributing positively to the communities they serve.

QCD plays a critical role in the foodservice supply chain, employing dynamic individuals dedicated to various functions such as order preparation, delivery, route mapping, and warehouse management. Every position at QCD is integral to keeping America's favorite restaurants supplied and ready to serve customers. The company is committed not only to logistics but also to career development, offering growth opportunities that foster long-term success and stability.

The Class A CDL Driver - Chicago East role at QCD is a career-building opportunity ideal for individuals seeking steady employment that allows them to return home daily. This position's primary responsibility involves operating diesel-powered tractor-trailers to deliver food products on local routes without overnight layovers. Drivers in this role are pivotal to QCD’s supply chain excellence, performing deliveries meticulously with care and precision. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and exceptional customer service.

Drivers will routinely load and unload freight using hand trucks or pallet jacks in a touch-freight environment requiring physical activity and the ability to lift heavy items. Maintaining vehicle compliance through inspections, accurate DOT logs, and required paperwork is also essential. Clear communication with dispatchers, restaurant personnel, and team members ensures smooth operational flow and customer satisfaction.

Working at QCD offers great benefits, including competitive starting pay ranging from $37.95 per hour on weekdays to $39.95 on weekends, with additional hourly premiums for the fifth and sixth consecutive workdays. Employees enjoy weekly pay, health, dental, and vision coverage after just 30 days, savings planning with a 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and company-provided uniforms and work shoes. The schedule is designed for work-life balance with shifts starting between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., 10 to 14 hours in length, and four days on followed by three days off. Drivers must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a 24/7 operation.

QCD stands out for its people-first culture grounded in core values such as treating others with respect, holding oneself to high standards, and always doing the right thing. The company fosters a collaborative environment where success is shared, challenges drive learning, and innovation is welcomed. Career advancement paths and comprehensive training programs prepare associates for greater responsibilities and leadership roles within the ever-expanding Golden State Foods family of companies. As an Equal Opportunity Employer, QCD values diversity and inclusion, striving to create a workplace where all employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the organization's success.
