Job Description

Performance Foodservice, a division of Performance Food Group (PFG), is a leading broadline food distributor serving a diverse range of clients. These clients include independent restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries, making the company a vital part of the food supply chain. Unlike many distributors, Performance Foodservice goes beyond simply delivering food products by offering a team of experts—comprising sales representatives, chefs, consultants, and other professionals—who provide personalized guidance to customers. This guidance covers improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies to help businesses thrive. The company is known for its strong commitment to quality, customer service, and support for independent restaurant owners to help them achieve their dreams and grow sustainably.

The role of Driver Check-In Coordinator is essential within this dynamic company because it supports critical logistics operations that keep the food supply chain efficient and reliable. Delivery drivers are the face of the company, interacting directly with customers while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. The Driver Check-In Coordinator is responsible for managing the check-in process for these drivers, verifying deliveries, reconciling financial transactions such as cash and checks, and processing returned goods to be accurately logged back into inventory. This detailed coordination helps maintain inventory accuracy, ensures compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and supports fleet maintenance and vehicle repair processes.

In this position, you will be a key team member who interacts professionally with customers, vendors, drivers, and other employees. Your communication skills will be vital in resolving delivery challenges and ensuring all returns and discrepancies are handled promptly and accurately. The company deeply values a safe and inclusive working environment that fosters rewards, recognition, and respect. Employees benefit from comprehensive health and wellness programs starting from day one, stock purchase plans, employer-matched 401K, education assistance, paid time off, and multiple other benefits.

This job offers a competitive salary with opportunities for growth and development within one of the nation's largest and most respected foodservice distributors. With your attention to detail, administrative skills, and dedication, you will play a vital role in helping Performance Foodservice maintain its reputation for reliability and excellence in customer service, making a direct impact on America's food distribution system.
