The US Foods Driver Check-in Clerk role based in Lexington, South Carolina, plays a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of product returns within the distribution center. This position requires the individual to receive and verify all driver-returned products and related invoices, ensuring all items are processed with the correct accounting codes to support the division’s profit and loss statements. This full-time role features a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a competitive base hourly rate starting at $21.58 depending on experience, along with opportunities for overtime pay based on business needs.

As a Driver Check-in Clerk, the employee handles all aspects of returns, including verifying the condition and reason codes for returned products such as mispicks, driver shorts, or customer refusals. This position involves inspecting products for compliance with temperature guidelines to maintain product integrity, processing both paper and digital documents to ensure inventory and customer invoicing accuracy, and determining the appropriate disposition of returned products whether saleable, damaged, or expired. The role also includes executing end-of-day procedures, addressing any discrepancies, and collaborating closely with warehouse and transportation teams to improve processes and support training efforts.

The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of experience in warehouse or delivery operations. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with solid math aptitude and organizational abilities, are essential. The role demands attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, and the capability to handle complex tasks while prioritizing workload effectively.
