This specific position of Driver CDL/Warehouse Associate is located in Ontario, California, and is part of the NABISCO branch. This role is represented by a labor union and primarily involves a combination of driving and warehouse duties. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays based on business needs, and shifts range from 8 to 10 hours per day, totaling more than 40 hours per week. Start times vary depending on whether the role involves warehouse tasks or driving, with shifts beginning as early as 9 am or midnight. The position requires the candidate to have a valid CDL-Class A license, with at least two years of proven safe driving experience, and comply with federal regulations including the FMCSA Final Rule and Clearinghouse Registration.
As a Driver CDL/Warehouse Associate, you will play a critical role in the logistics and delivery operations of Mondel4z International/NABISCO. You will be responsible for delivering products such as snacks and confectionaries safely and efficiently to customer stores and warehouses. Maintaining safety standards is a top priority, and you will conduct regular safety equipment checks and adhere to procedures designed to protect both personnel and products. This role balances time on the road with warehouse responsibilities such as stocking trucks, order picking, palletizing, and inventory management. The combination of duties lends flexibility and variety to the position, allowing associates to engage in both driving and warehouse operations throughout the year.
The role requires excellent communication skills for coordinating with retail customers and internal teams. Additionally, you will be expected to use technology tools such as smartphones, electronic logging devices, and delivery scanners to accurately document deliveries and driving times. Physical fitness is important as the job involves repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment including lifting, bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Experience with forklifts or pallet jacks is beneficial but not mandatory. The candidate must also be adaptable to changing routes and schedules and able to work outside in varying weather conditions. This role offers competitive hourly wages with Driver positions earning $31 per hour and Warehouse roles earning $29.38 per hour, plus an additional shift differential for overnight work. Comprehensive benefits such as health care, retirement plans, and paid time off are available in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Mondel4z International encourages candidates who are ready to join a dynamic, customer-focused company dedicated to quality and safety to apply for this rewarding opportunity to help drive the future of snacking.
