Job Description

Sunbelt Rentals is a leading equipment rental company in North America known for its extensive fleet of equipment ranging from pumps to scaffolding to general construction tools. Established with the aim to be the customer's first choice in the equipment rental industry, Sunbelt Rentals has built its reputation not only on the breadth of its offerings but also on outstanding customer service and knowledgeable staff. As a highly successful national company, Sunbelt Rentals prides itself on investing in its workforce by offering competitive benefits, extensive on-the-job training, and fostering a culture of growth and opportunity for employees. The company continually seeks talented individuals to support its expanding operations and invites professionals interested in rewarding career paths to explore its opportunities.

The role of a Class A CDL Driver at Sunbelt Rentals is a vital position within the company that involves delivering and recovering a variety of equipment, tools, and supplies to and from customer worksites. This position requires driving Class A trucks hauling equipment on flatbed (dovetail) or RGN (lowboy) trailers across various environments including urban, suburban, and rural settings. The driver must demonstrate an ability to navigate safely in tight areas such as construction zones, reflecting the importance of safety and precision in this role. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and holding a valid CDL license with a good driving record is mandatory. Experience with commercial driving equipment like flatbeds, lowboys, or dovetail trailers is advantageous, as is the ability to perform minor repairs on vehicles and equipment at job sites. A strong customer service attitude is essential, given the role's frequent interactions with clients. This role comes with physical demands such as lifting heavy items, standing, bending, and working in various weather conditions. The salary range for this position is competitive, from $31.13 to $46.69 per hour, depending on experience, education, and location. Sunbelt Rentals also provides a comprehensive benefits package starting shortly after employment, including health, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) match, paid time off, volunteer time off, tuition reimbursement, disability coverage, accident and life insurance, and employee assistance programs. Veterans and service members are especially encouraged to apply, underscoring the company's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
