The company is deeply committed to customer service, offering not only top-quality equipment but also knowledgeable and friendly staff to provide expert assistance and ensure customer satisfaction. With a strong national presence and a reputation for reliability and professionalism, Sunbelt Rentals prides itself on investing in its workforce through competitive benefits, comprehensive training, and opportunities for professional growth.
Sunbelt Rentals is currently seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on the transportation and recovery of various equipment, tools, and supplies between customer worksites and Sunbelt Rentals’ facilities. The successful candidate will operate Class A trucks pulling flatbed (dovetail) or RGN (lowboy) trailers, safely managing deliveries in diverse urban, suburban, and rural environments. The role requires skilled maneuvering in tight spaces, such as construction zones, demanding precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
The Class A CDL Driver position offers an empowering and entrepreneurial work environment where drivers can develop their career path, leverage existing skills, and acquire new competencies. Sunbelt Rentals emphasizes teamwork and provides an environment where individuals can thrive professionally while working alongside an incredible team. Responsibilities include not only driving and delivering equipment but also performing minor troubleshooting and repairs on vehicles or equipment at job sites when necessary. The role demands physical capabilities such as bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with work involving both indoor and outdoor settings.
Educationally, candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent are preferred, along with a valid CDL license and a clean driving record. Experience with similar commercial equipment and familiarity with operating flatbed and lowboy trailers are advantageous. A customer service-oriented attitude is essential, along with the ability to respond effectively to challenges encountered during delivery and recovery operations.
Sunbelt Rentals offers a competitive base pay range of $27.07 to $40.59 per hour, with variation depending on position, location, education, and experience. The company also provides comprehensive benefits packages that become effective on the first of the month following 30 days from the start date, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, and other valuable perks. This role is ideal for individuals seeking both a stable and rewarding career in a supportive, growth-oriented company that values its employees' contributions and development. Veterans and service members are encouraged to apply, reflecting Sunbelt Rentals’ commitment to inclusivity and support for those who have served.
