Job Description
Mondel1dz International, a global leader in the snack food industry, is renowned for its iconic brands such as Oreo, Ritz Crackers, Triscuit, Sour Patch Kids, and Swedish Fish. As one of the largest snack companies worldwide, Mondel1dz International focuses on delivering high-quality products to consumers across the United States and beyond. With a significant manufacturing and distribution footprint throughout the country, the company operates multiple corporate offices and facilities to ensure the availability and freshness of its beloved products. The U.S. market remains the largest within the Mondel1dz family, supporting hundreds of employees dedicated to making snacks the right way, at the right moment, and in the right place.
Mondel1dz International is currently seeking qualified candidates to join their team in Orlando, FL, as a Driver CDL. This position is pivotal to the company's mission to lead the future of snacking by delivering products safely and efficiently to various retail stores and warehouses. The Driver CDL role primarily involves operating commercial vehicles to fulfill transportation and delivery tasks within Florida, including servicing locations such as military base facilities that require federal identification for access.
This is a full-time hourly position offering competitive pay at $32.15 per hour along with opportunities to earn bonuses through the Branch Incentive Plan (BIP). Drivers will typically work a schedule that involves three to four days per week, Monday through Saturday, with shift start times ranging between 12 am and 4 am. Shifts usually last between 10 to 12 hours until all deliveries are completed, averaging over 40 hours per workweek, though schedules may vary depending on business demand.
In this role, drivers are responsible for managing all aspects of transporting Mondel1dz products. Key responsibilities include performing safety checks on vehicles and equipment such as tractors, trailers, and pallet jacks to meet all safety standards before and during operation. Drivers will also prepare necessary documentation like receipts, truck logs, and maintenance records as part of daily field service activities. Compliance with safety regulations set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) is critical to ensure safe and legal transportation practices.
Candidates must hold a CDL-Class A license and have a minimum of two years of proven safe driving experience. Applicants must also possess valid REAL ID driver27s licenses, U.S. passports, or federal IDs due to certain delivery sites requiring these credentials for access. Experience with direct store delivery (DSD) is preferred but not mandatory. The ability to pass drug tests, motor vehicle record checks, background screenings, and FMCSA Clearinghouse registrations are prerequisites for employment.
This position demands a customer-oriented attitude to provide excellent service to key customers and the flexibility to handle changing routes and schedules. Drivers will utilize electronic logging devices (ELDs) and scanners to log positions, deliveries, and driving times efficiently. Working conditions include exposure to various weather elements and temperatures due to outdoor environments.
Mondel1dz International is committed to equal opportunity employment and supports protected veterans and persons with disabilities. The company offers a range of comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, paid leave, wellness programs, and education assistance. By joining Mondel1dz International as a Driver CDL, you become a vital part of a respected and innovative company dedicated to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while helping drive the future of snacking forward.
