Job Description

SRS Distribution Inc. is a leading national building materials distributor that provides comprehensive building solutions to contractors and professional customers across the United States. With a commitment to excellence, innovative logistics, and a wide network spanning multiple locations, the company has established itself as a cornerstone in the construction materials supply industry. SRS Distribution focuses on delivering high-quality products efficiently while maintaining a customer-centric approach that supports the success of building projects nationwide. The company fosters an environment of growth and opportunity, investing in the professional development of its employees and encouraging a healthy work-life balance to maintain a supportive and productive workplace.

The role of CDL Driver & Delivery Helper at SRS Distribution involves more than just operating a commercial vehicle. This position plays a critical part in the supply chain by ensuring the timely, safe, and accurate delivery of building materials to various job sites. Employees in this role are entrusted with handling and transporting valuable construction supplies while upholding strict compliance with Federal and State transportation regulations. Aside from driving, this role demands teamwork in loading and unloading materials, maintaining vehicle condition, and delivering superior customer service at every interaction.

Employment with SRS Distribution is full-time, offering a competitive salary structure that includes weekly or bi-weekly pay cycles and discretionary bonuses. The company also provides substantial benefits such as a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, employee stock purchase program, paid time off for vacation, sick days, volunteer efforts, and holidays, as well as comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance. These offerings underscore the company's dedication to employee well-being and long-term career opportunities.

In this position, CDL Drivers are required to maintain high standards of safety by performing pre-trip inspections, reporting any equipment defects, and adhering to transportation and delivery schedules. The physical demands include loading and unloading heavy building materials, often exceeding 80 pounds, and navigating complex delivery routes with professionalism and care. Strong communication skills and a professional attitude are necessary to foster positive relationships with customers and team members alike.

The role requires a minimum of a Class B commercial driver’s license, with Class A strongly preferred, along with a clean three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR). Experience operating boom or crane trucks is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates are expected to demonstrate competencies such as trust, integrity, servant leadership principles, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively. Additionally, they should contribute to an inclusive workplace culture where diversity is celebrated, and teamwork is valued.

SRS Distribution is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer committed to providing equal employment opportunities without regard to race, gender, disability, or any other protected status. The company supports reasonable accommodations in the recruitment process for qualified individuals with disabilities or disabled veterans. This opportunity is located at the National Structure facility in Phoenix, Arizona, and entails regular interaction with both external customers and internal teams to ensure a seamless delivery experience.

Choosing a career as a CDL Driver & Delivery Helper at SRS Distribution means joining a company that values its people as its greatest assets and recognizes the importance of working safely, efficiently, and respectfully. This position not only offers a gateway into the building materials distribution industry but also promises growth, advancement, and a chance to make a tangible impact on community construction projects across the region.
