Job Requirements
- Meet the minimum legal age requirement for serving or handling alcoholic beverages
- be approachable and able to maintain a friendly and courteous manner even during busy periods
- be available to work flexible schedules including days, evenings, and weekends
- thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with moderate to high noise levels
- be able to understand and effectively communicate instructions and information
- be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
- move efficiently within the bar service area and stand for extended periods
- be able to walk or stand for the entire duration of their scheduled shift
- frequently reach, bend, stoop, lift, and wipe down surfaces to maintain a clean and well-stocked bar area
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in a similar bar support or hospitality role is advantageous
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- knowledge of responsible alcohol service and safety standards
- basic inventory management experience is a plus
- friendly and approachable demeanor
Job Duties
- Plays a key role in facilitating excellent drink service
- keeps the bartender and immediate supervisor informed of any low stock levels, spills, or equipment malfunctions
- provides efficient assistance by promptly replenishing bar supplies, preparing garnishes, and ensuring ice levels are maintained
- maintains a positive and helpful attitude while supporting the bartenders and anticipating their needs during peak service times
- assists with guest inquiries by communicating information to the bartender and ensuring the bar area is well-maintained and organized
- supports the bartender by quickly retrieving ingredients, glassware, and other necessary items
- ensures that empty drinkware is collected and the bar area remains organized throughout service
- alerts the bartender or manager to any guest issues or concerns observed at the bar
- adheres to all company policies and procedures regarding responsible alcohol service and safety regulations
- responsible for stocking and organizing all bar-related inventory
- assists with periodic inventory counts of bar stock
- checks and replenishes all required bar supplies before, during, and after service periods
- maintains the cleanliness and organization of the entire bar service area
- provides support to other team members as required
- maintains positive working relationships with all team members to foster a collaborative work environment
