Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior bread baking or culinary experience
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as bending walking and lifting
  • availability to work early morning shifts including a 4AM start and weekend shifts
  • basic math skills
  • ability to communicate clearly and work well with others

Job Duties

  • understands and performs all functions of production in the bread department including scaling mixing shaping and baking
  • follows daily production schedule ensuring that the appropriate quantities of each bread item are ready at the appropriate time to meet the needs of retail and wholesale customers
  • assists with seasonal menu changes and new item development
  • communicates any problems or needs regarding production such as needed ingredients par changes etc to the appropriate leader
  • analyzes results including quality efficiency timeliness in order to make improvements in overall personal performance
  • knows and recognizes the correct appearance of each bread type striving to consistently mix shape and bake for correct and uniform color and appearance
  • follows all food safety regulations and practices at all times
