Job Description
Meddys is a full-service restaurant specializing in high-quality, healthy Mediterranean cuisine. Since opening its first location in 2014 on East Harry Street in Wichita, Kansas, Meddys has grown into a beloved local dining destination known for its fresh, made-to-order meals, friendly service, and relaxed modern atmosphere. With a focus on using locally sourced ingredients, Meddys offers a menu that includes delicious hummus, shawarma, pita, and signature cocktails tailored to meet a variety of dietary needs. The restaurant prides itself on creating a unique dining experience that combines flavorful, healthy food with exceptional hospitality at affordable prices.
Over the years, Meddys has expanded significantly, establishing five branches in Wichita, Kansas, and four additional locations throughout the Kansas City Metro area, spanning both Kansas and Missouri. In late 2024, the company further extended its footprint by entering the Oklahoma market with branches in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, and in 2025, it opened three more locations in Omaha, Nebraska; Salina, Kansas; and Moore, Oklahoma. This rapid expansion reflects Meddys' commitment to sharing its successful concept of fast, fresh Mediterranean fare with a wider customer base across multiple states.
At Meddys, the work culture emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and a strong sense of pride in the results produced by its staff. The company encourages employees to take initiative and hold themselves responsible for meeting clear, realistic expectations, which contributes to both personal growth and the overall success of the restaurant. Meddys strives to foster an exceptional working environment where team members can thrive and are rewarded for their efforts.
Currently, Meddys is seeking skilled cooks and prep cooks who are passionate about delivering delicious, high-quality meals with precision and care. The ideal candidates will have solid kitchen experience, be adept at multitasking, and comfortable working efficiently in a fast-paced setting. These roles require following strict food preparation and safety guidelines to ensure that every dish served meets Meddys’ standards. In addition to cooking, team members support each other by maintaining clean, organized workstations, preparing ingredients ahead of shifts, and assisting with stock management.
Meddys also seeks experienced dishwashers who can maintain professional cleanliness standards for dishes, cutlery, glassware, and large kitchen equipment. These positions play a crucial supporting role in the kitchen’s smooth operation, ensuring that chefs and cooks always have the tools and prep space needed to perform their jobs effectively.
Joining Meddys means becoming part of a growing company with a passionate team and the opportunity to contribute to its ongoing success and expansion while serving healthy, flavorful Mediterranean food to a diverse and expanding customer base. Whether you are a cook, prep cook, or dishwasher, you will be valued for your skills, dedication, and ability to help create an outstanding dining experience for guests.
