Job Description

Krispy Kreme, founded in 1937 and headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, is a globally renowned brand known for its iconic Original Glazed doughnut, which offers a hot-off-the-line, melt-in-your-mouth experience. With operations in more than 35 countries, Krispy Kreme continues to bring joy to customers worldwide through its network of fresh doughnut shops, partnerships with leading retailers, and an expanding Ecommerce and delivery business, providing access to over 14,000 fresh points globally. The company's core purpose is to touch and enhance lives by delivering the happiness associated with Krispy Kreme’s sweet treats. This purpose is deeply embedded in the company's culture and drives its commitment to its people, communities, and the planet. Krispy Kreme fosters a supportive and inclusive environment where diversity in ethnicity, gender identity, expression, age, veteran status, and more is embraced, allowing every employee to bring their authentic self to work. The company actively promotes equitable and unbiased culture, empowering employees to showcase their originality while contributing to a broader mission of community and environmental responsibility.

The Doughnut Maker role at Krispy Kreme is one of the most critical positions within the shops, responsible for producing the brand’s iconic doughnuts using the founder's original recipe. This position requires a dedication to maintaining the quality standards that Krispy Kreme is famous for, ensuring each doughnut satisfies the customers and represents the brand well. Doughnut Makers prepare all components of the doughnuts, including dough, yeast brew, glazes, and fillings. Learning the process is part of the role, with comprehensive training provided to help new team members become proficient in accurately measuring ingredients, mixing, frying, and maintaining clean and efficient operations. This full-time role demands open availability and flexibility, highlighting the importance of teamwork and discipline, with the understanding that the freshly made doughnuts are a signature customer experience, marked by the Hot Light indicating when treats are fresh and ready to enjoy.

Beyond the hands-on doughnut production, the role emphasizes record keeping for freshness and waste reduction, strict adherence to sanitation standards, and a personal commitment to presenting oneself professionally, including following uniform standards. Krispy Kreme encourages a work culture filled with enthusiasm and respect, nurturing a global leadership mix that values collaboration, community involvement, and sustainable practices. The company’s initiatives include meaningful community support through donations to food banks, fundraising efforts, and environmental goals such as greenhouse gas emission assessments and food waste reduction programs. The Doughnut Maker is an integral part of this holistic approach, contributing not only to product quality but also to a shared vision of loving people, communities, and the planet.

Krispy Kreme offers comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance, a 401K plan, paid time off, employee discount programs, education reimbursement, adoption assistance, life insurance, FSA/HSA plans, and even pet insurance. This ensures that each member of the Krispy Kreme team is supported both personally and professionally, further enabling them to deliver the exceptional experience Krispy Kreme customers expect. Join Krispy Kreme and be part of a team where your originality sweetens the recipe and every doughnut made continues a legacy of joy since 1937.
