Job Description

Krispy Kreme, founded in 1937 and headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, is one of the most renowned and beloved sweet treat brands worldwide. Known primarily for its iconic Original Glazed doughnut, Krispy Kreme has built an esteemed reputation centered around its founder's original recipe that promises fresh, hot doughnuts delivered right off the production line. The brand’s distinctive Hot Light alerts customers when doughnuts are being made, inviting them to come in and enjoy these fresh treats at their best. With operations spanning over 35 countries, Krispy Kreme maintains a dynamic presence through its extensive network of fresh doughnut shops, collaborations with leading retailers, and a growing e-commerce and delivery business that provides over 14,000 fresh points of access globally. At the heart of Krispy Kreme’s mission is its commitment to touching and enhancing lives through the joy that its products bring, a philosophy that extends from its employees to its communities and the planet.

The Doughnut Maker plays a pivotal role within the Krispy Kreme ecosystem, tasked with crafting some of the brand’s most iconic products. This position is crucial not only for maintaining the high-quality standards Krispy Kreme customers have come to expect but also for ensuring that every customer enjoys the fresh, delicious doughnuts that the brand is famous for. The role involves preparing all essential ingredients including dough, yeast brew, glaze, fillings, and icings, combining both precision and passion to replicate the original recipes with consistency. Doughnut Makers accurately weigh ingredients, measure liquids, mix, and fry doughnuts, strictly adhering to recipes and sanitation standards to guarantee product freshness and operational efficiency.

Alongside production duties, Doughnut Makers are responsible for maintaining meticulous records of times and temperatures of products, which is vital to reducing waste and ensuring freshness. They must uphold rigorous sanitation standards within the production area to ensure a clean and safe workspace, as well as the smooth operation of equipment. This role is perfect for detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy contributing to a team that prioritizes quality and customer satisfaction.

Krispy Kreme values diversity and inclusion, fostering an equitable culture where team members are empowered to showcase their authentic selves. The company’s global culture is captured through its Leadership Mix—core behaviors that inspire collaboration, respect, and community care. Krispy Kreme actively supports communities by engaging in fundraising activities, donating unsold doughnuts to local food banks, and partnering with organizations aimed at alleviating hunger and promoting joy. The company is also committed to environmental responsibility through initiatives that assess and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize food waste via donation, composting, and animal feed programs.

For those eager to join a brand that values originality, equity, and passionate workmanship, the Doughnut Maker position offers a meaningful opportunity. Krispy Kreme supports its employees with comprehensive benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance, employee discounts, a robust 401K plan, paid time off, company events, education reimbursement, adoption assistance, life insurance, and flexible spending accounts. The role requires candidates to be at least 18 years of age, possess two years of experience in food handling and safety, and have open availability with flexibility to work varied shifts.

In summary, joining Krispy Kreme as a Doughnut Maker means becoming part of a passionate, innovative company dedicated to quality, community impact, and environmental stewardship. This role blends hands-on craftsmanship with a commitment to excellence and a vibrant, inclusive workplace environment, making it an excellent fit for aspiring food service professionals dedicated to making a difference through their work.
