Job Description
Enterprise Mobility is a prominent provider of mobility solutions operating through well-known car rental brands such as Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car. The company functions through an integrated global network of independent regional subsidiaries, offering a wide range of transportation services. These include extensive car rental, car-sharing, truck rental, fleet management, retail car sales, travel management, and other related services designed to make travel easier and more convenient for customers worldwide. Privately held by the Taylor family of St. Louis, Enterprise Mobility and its affiliate Enterprise Fleet Management oversee a diverse fleet numbering approximately 2.4 million vehicles spread across more than 9,500 fully staffed neighborhood and airport rental locations in over 90 countries and territories.
Within this expansive network, the National and Alamo division at the LAX location is currently seeking a dedicated CDL Bus Driver. This full-time union position offers a competitive starting pay of $26 per hour and comes with a shift bid scheduling system requiring availability across various shifts, including graveyard, swing, days, nights, holidays, and weekends. It is essential for candidates to be willing to work 40 hours per week, with no moonlighting or other paid employment permitted.
The role of the CDL Bus Driver is pivotal in ensuring a smooth and pleasant rental experience for customers. The driver will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting customers to and from the rental facility using 33+ passenger shuttle buses. Superior, friendly customer service is a core aspect of this role, requiring the driver to maintain clear communication with other bus operators and the management team to ensure consistently high standards of service that align with the company’s quality commitments.
Additional incentives for this role include a generous $2,000 sign-on bonus paid in two increments: $1,000 after 90 days of employment and $1,000 after 180 days, along with the possibility of up to a $6,000 retention bonus. To qualify for these bonuses, the driver must maintain agreed-upon working hours during the first six months of employment, with prorated bonuses available depending on hours worked. Note that individuals previously employed by Enterprise Mobility within the past year are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.
This position requires a California Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A or B, with both Passenger and Air Brake endorsements. Candidates must also have at least nine months of verifiable previous experience transporting passengers. Beyond technical qualifications, the driver must emphasize safety, customer care, and operational standards while contributing positively to the team and customer satisfaction.
Overall, the CDL Bus Driver opportunity at National and Alamo represents an excellent chance for a skilled driver to join a reputable and expanding company dedicated to high-quality mobility and customer service. The role offers financial incentives, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive work environment with clear expectations and opportunities for professional development.
