The role involves various responsibilities centered around greeting guests with genuine warmth and professionalism, assisting them with their luggage, and providing helpful information about the hotel and surrounding area. The Door Person acts as the initial point of contact for arriving guests, setting the tone for their entire visit and ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

The ideal candidate will have previous hotel experience, possess strong customer service skills, and have the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift and carry luggage up to 50 pounds frequently and to stand and walk frequently throughout their shift. The Door Person will perform key duties such as retrieving guests items from vehicles, handling luggage with care, escorting guests to their rooms, inspecting rooms, and communicating effectively with housekeeping and other hotel departments. Additionally, they will assist with delivering messages, packages, and other guest services to ensure that needs are met promptly and efficiently.

Employees in this role will work varying shifts, contributing to the flexible operations of the hotel. The compensation for this position is $11.91 per hour plus gratuities, with the added benefit of competitive starting wages and a supportive work environment. Health, dental, vision, and other benefits are available after 60 days of employment, along with access to a 401k plan, paid training, paid time off, and discount opportunities at all Kinseth Hotel Corporation hotels and restaurants.
