This job opportunity is for a Team Member position working the closing shift. Team Members at Dave's Hot Chicken play an essential role in the restaurant’s operations by ensuring food quality, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering excellent guest service. The position offers a starting wage of $20.90 per hour, which includes estimated tips of approximately $3.50 per hour, though these tips are not guaranteed and can vary depending on business volume. The closing shifts are late and may extend until 2:00 AM Sunday through Thursday and 3:00 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Applicants must be able and willing to work these late-night hours.
The Team Member’s responsibilities are diverse, requiring adaptability and cooperation in a fast-paced setting. They greet guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, and are expected to maintain a positive and helpful attitude consistently. The role requires close collaboration with other team members to prepare menu items following specific cooking instructions, safety protocols, and sanitary standards. Operating kitchen equipment such as fryers, warmers, and ice cream dispensers is a regular part of the job.
Maintaining restaurant cleanliness is critical to this role; duties include clearing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing kitchen utensils and high-touch areas, and servicing restrooms. Team Members are also responsible for handling guest concerns or complaints professionally and calmly in line with restaurant policy, ensuring a welcoming and satisfactory experience for all guests.
This position is best suited for candidates who are physically capable of standing for long periods, bending, stooping, and comfortably lifting between 50 to 75 pounds. The ability to work effectively in close quarters and around heat is vital. A positive attitude and strong commitment to guest satisfaction are crucial qualities. Effective communication with fellow teammates and restaurant management is essential for smooth operations and teamwork.

Job Requirements
- Be at least 16 years old
- Be flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays, opening and closing shifts
- Have the ability to stand for long periods of time, bend and stoop, and lift 50 - 75 lbs. comfortably
- Be able to work in close quarters and around heat
- Have a positive attitude while conducting all duties
- Have a commitment to guest satisfaction
- Effective communicator with teammates and the restaurant management team

Job Duties
- Greet guests, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful attitude
- Work together with other teammates to prepare items on the DHC menu while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements
- Use specific kitchen machinery/equipment such as ice cream dispensers, fryers, warmers, etc.
- Ensure restaurant cleanliness daily by clearing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, washing/sanitizing/disinfecting kitchen utensils and high touch-point areas, and servicing restrooms
- Handle guests' concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to restaurant policy
