The Team Member position at Dave's Hot Chicken is an entry-level role focused on supporting the restaurant's operations across several key areas including guest service, food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness. This role is hourly and starts at a wage of $20.90 per hour, which includes estimated tips averaging $3.50 per hour, though tips may vary. The Team Member is vital to providing a high-speed service in a busy restaurant environment while ensuring both safety and quality standards are met consistently. Duties include greeting guests, taking and serving orders with a positive attitude, and collaborating with other team members to prepare menu items following set cooking instructions. Additionally, the Team Member will use specific kitchen equipment such as fryers and ice cream dispensers as required.

Beyond these operational tasks, the Team Member is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant. This includes clearing and sanitizing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, washing kitchen utensils, and servicing restrooms. The role demands excellent communication skills for handling guest concerns professionally and resolving any issues according to restaurant policies. Flexibility in work schedule is important, as shifts include nights, weekends, holidays, as well as openings and closings. The physical requirements include the ability to stand for long durations, bend, stoop, and lift weights between 50 to 75 pounds comfortably while working in close quarters and around heat. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and demonstrate a commitment to guest satisfaction and teamwork. Job Duties

  • greet guests, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful attitude, including answering questions
  • work together with other teammates to prepare items on the dHC menu while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements
  • use specific kitchen machinery/equipment such as ice cream dispensers, fryers, warmers, etc.
  • ensure restaurant cleanliness daily by clearing tables, sweeping and mopping floors, washing/sanitizing/disinfecting kitchen utensils and high touch-point areas, and servicing restrooms
  • handle guests' concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to restaurant policy
